What youth soccer actually costs in Frisco and North Texas

Registration runs about $105 a season across five cities. Gear adds $40 to $75 once, and carries over until your kid outgrows it. It is the cheapest organised sport in this index by a wide margin.

Cheapest way to find out if your kid even likes it

Frisco Soccer Association in Frisco, $140–195 for a first season. Gear is a one-time buy until your kid outgrows it — so a second season costs roughly the registration fee alone..

Plano Sports Authority (PSA)

Plano has two separate soccer organisations — PSA and PYSA — which is worth knowing before you sign up. Fee is in line with Frisco's rather than taken from PSA's own page, which does not publish it.

Plano Youth Soccer Association (PYSA)

Fee is in line with Frisco's rather than taken from PYSA's own page, which does not publish it.

Prosper Area Soccer Organization (PASO)

PASO publishes nothing about fees, divisions or game counts on its public site - the detail sits behind the registration flow and its Facebook page. Fee is in line with Frisco's, not published by PASO. Fall 2026 registration is closed.

McKinney Soccer Association (MSA)

The ONLY soccer association in this index that publishes its fee: a flat $105 for every age group from 4U to 19U. Jerseys go to 4U-10U in the fall, but in spring only brand-new players and returners on a different team get one. Players may play up an age group, never down.

Allen Sports Association (ASA)

Unlike Frisco, ASA does not include a uniform in ANY soccer division, so an Allen season costs a uniform more than the fee suggests. Balls are given free to 4U, 9U and 13U at the coaches meeting. Fee is in line with Frisco's rather than taken from ASA's own page, which shows a Registration Fee row with no amount in it.

How we worked this out

Registration fees come from each organisation's own pages where they publish them. Most do not. Where a figure is our own estimate or comes from a page that has not been updated in years, the table says so under the number rather than leaving you to assume it is current.

Gear prices are retail, checked in October 2026, mostly at Academy. That is deliberate: a helmet costs what it costs on Preston Road, so national pricing is fine for equipment. League fees are different and have to be local, so we never substitute a national average for one.

Where a total reads “from” a number, something required has no published price, usually a uniform a coach arranges privately. We would rather show you a floor than a tidy number that is wrong. Uniform figures marked as our estimate are exactly that.

Socks, water bottles and other things every league requires are left out of totals, because adding them to every row inflates all of them equally and changes no comparison.

Think a figure is wrong, or paid something different? Tell us. A receipt from a parent beats anything we can find online, and this page gets better every time someone does.
